Welcome to CAAM’s Q3 Federal AAM Town Hall of 2026, Canada’s national forum for updates on advanced air mobility operations, policy, regulation, and airspace integration.

For this quarter’s town hall, we will explore From Engagement to Deployment: Advancing Canada’s AAM Operationalization, focusing on the regulatory, digital, and operational building blocks now taking shape to support more advanced RPAS and AAM operations across Canada.

Transport Canada will provide an overview of recent engagement around NPA 2026-005 and discuss next steps following its information sessions on Remote Identification, Community-Based Organizations, and Designated Airspace. The session will connect recent regulatory engagement with the practical considerations facing operators, organizations, and other stakeholders as Canada’s RPAS framework continues to evolve.

NAV CANADA will provide an update on the development of Canada’s future RPAS Traffic Management ecosystem, including its recent selection of Indra Group to deliver the RPAS Flight Information Management System (rFIMS). As the centralized digital platform connecting NAV CANADA with future RPAS Traffic Management Service Providers, rFIMS represents a major step toward the framework envisioned by NAV CANADA and Transport Canada for safely integrating increasingly complex drone operations into Canadian airspace.

Together, these updates will offer a clearer picture of how Canada is moving from consultation and concept development toward the regulations, infrastructure, services, and industry coordination required for safe and scalable deployment.

Each Federal AAM Town Hall brings together Canada’s national authorities and industry stakeholders from across operations, infrastructure, airports, certification, OEMs, technology, and other parts of the ecosystem to share progress, identify challenges, and help advance the conversation.

CAAM’s Federal AAM Town Halls serve as a national digital platform to coordinate, communicate, and connect stakeholders across Canada’s AAM ecosystem.

As the Federal Industry Association for AAM in Canada, CAAM works alongside national authorities and industry to identify opportunities, address shared challenges, and support the responsible advancement of advanced air mobility.
