Overview

Europe is moving quickly to scale Advanced Air Mobility and strengthen next-generation aviation and defence capabilities. Canada has a growing opportunity to be part of that progress, and CAAM is creating a pathway to connect Canadian innovators directly with the stakeholders driving Europe’s future airspace and operational landscape.

CAAM will lead a curated Canadian delegation to Lisbon (Portugal), Hamburg (Germany), and Rome (Italy), bringing together export-ready organizations for a focused program of high-value engagement across AAM, aviation infrastructure, airspace integration, and defence.

This delegation is designed to support meaningful market entry conversations, strategic partnerships, and long-term commercial outcomes in priority EU markets.

The program will include a mix of curated meetings, strategic site engagements, and participation in key European forums. While specific scheduling may evolve as partner availability is confirmed, the delegation is expected to feature:

• Participation in CANSO Airspace World in Lisbon, one of the world’s leading global airspace management events, as well as AED Days, a well-established industry forum that brings together the Portuguese Aeronautics, Space and Defence ecosystem alongside key international players.
• Curated B2B meetings in Hamburg with aviation clusters, OEMs, and defence stakeholders
• Strategic engagement in Rome, including airport-focused discussions related to AAM and defence operations

Proposed Delegation Schedule

• May 25–29: Lisbon, Portugal
• June 1–3: Hamburg, Germany
• June 4–5: Rome, Italy

Itinerary details are subject to refinement and may shift as meetings and host engagements are finalized.

Exclusive Funding Opportunity

Organizations that are active Canadian-based CAAM Members are eligible to receive up to 75% funding support through CAAM’s CanExport program via Global Affairs Canada. This program is intended to help reduce costs and enable Canadian companies to pursue export growth and market diversification.

This delegation is intended for Canadian organizations active in Advanced Air Mobility, aviation technology, airspace systems, airport operations, defence innovation, and enabling infrastructure.
