VANCOUVER, BC – [March 17, 2026] – Canadian Advanced Air Mobility (CAAM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ranbir Singh, Director, Regional Airlines and Markets at Air Canada, to CAAM’s National Board. Ranbir’s appointment marks another important step forward in CAAM’s mission to help shape a safe, sustainable, and integrated Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) ecosystem across Canada.

Ranbir brings a unique perspective shaped by a 15+ year aviation journey that began on the frontlines of airport operations. As his career advanced, Ranbir moved into leadership positions managing station performance and disruption response. He later transitioned into Air Canada’s network planning and scheduling functions, where he played a key role in regional fleet planning and the launch of new routes across Canada and the United States.

Today, as Director, Regional Airlines and Markets, Ranbir leads Air Canada’s capacity purchasing agreements with partners such as Jazz Aviation and PAL Airlines, and serves as a key liaison between Air Canada and dozens of regional communities nationwide. His experience across operations, planning, and regional connectivity aligns closely with CAAM’s mission to support AAM implementation in Canada.

“Ranbir brings an exceptional blend of hands-on aviation experience and strategic leadership to our National Board,” said JR Hammond, Executive Director of CAAM. “His journey through the different layers of airline operations gives him a rare and grounded understanding of what it takes to move regional air mobility forward in Canada. That perspective will be invaluable as CAAM moves closer to AAM operations in 2028. We’re thrilled to have his expertise guiding us on the CAAM National Board.”

“I am very pleased to participate in the important work CAAM is doing to promote the safe operation of advanced aerial technology in Canada,” said Ranbir Singh, Director, Regional Airlines and Markets. “Air Canada has for a number of years been engaged with the AAM industry, which holds great promise to complement our services to facilitate the transport of people and cargo in Canada where vast distances and a low population density make traditional air transport challenging in some regions.”

Ranbir’s appointment follows the transition of Ameet Sareen, former General Manager of Global Drone Strategy Cargo at Air Canada Cargo, who is stepping down from CAAM’s National Board after years of dedicated support and service.

CAAM extends its sincere appreciation to Ameet for his leadership, support, and commitment to advancing AAM in Canada.

“On behalf of the entire CAAM ecosystem, I want to sincerely thank Ameet for the years of time, energy, and leadership he brought to our National Board,” said Hammond. “Ameet played an important role in strengthening CAAM’s national presence and advancing critical conversations that continue to shape Canada’s AAM ecosystem. We’re grateful for his commitment and the meaningful impact he’s had in helping move the needle forward.”
