The Pulse – March 2024
In the March 2024 edition of The Pulse – Transport Canada is establishing the Advisory Committee on the Future of Aviation (ACFA) to discuss policy issues on RPAS and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), building on the Canadian Drone Advisory Committee’s work. Following consultations on Beyond Visual Line-of-Sight (BVLOS) regulations, Transport Canada released a “What We Heard Report” summarizing feedback on proposed fees and training requirements. The Initiative for Sustainable Aviation Technology (INSAT), backed by a $350 million investment, aims to support sustainable aviation technologies in Canada. Updates include Sealand Flight’s integration of electric aircraft into training and the CAAM 2.0 initiative to operationalize AAM in Canada.
